Greetings!
We recently kicked-off our 2010 Campaign and wanted to share with you what has been going on at our United Way.  We appreciate your support and thank you for coloring a brighter tomorrow!

Donate to United Way and Win a Chevy CRUZE!

Win a lease on a CRUZE!

All donors of $104 or more will be entered to win a lease on a Chevrolet Cruze courtesy of Greenwood Chevrolet.
To kick-off this campaign incentive, Greenwood Chevrolet partnered with our United Way for two recent events at their Austintown and Hubbard locations.  We "tailgated" in the parking lot with free pizza, and a football toss for YSU football tickets and other prizes.  The new Chevrolet Cruze was on display both days.  Proceeds benefitted the 2010 Campaign.  If you would like to make a donation to this year's campaign, download a pledge form, donate online or call 330.746.8494 to learn about workplace giving.

Covelli Enterprises Day of Caring

Day of CaringOur 13th annual Day of Caring, sponsored by Covelli Enterprises, was held on Friday, September 10, 2010.  Over 400 volunteers from 37 businesses completed projects at 30 local non-profit organizations.

We thank our other sponsors: PNC Bank, V&M Star, Coca-Cola, and Sam's Club.  For a listing of all of our participating companies and agencies, please visit our website.

Thanks to our 2010 Pacesetter Companies

PacesettersSpecial thanks to our 2010 Pacesetter companies who set the pace for our annual campaign.  These companies and organizations, without hesitation, are putting their mark on a better Mahoning Valley for all of us through the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.

These companies were recognized in the September 15th edition of The Vindicator.  View the recognition ad. Thank you for LIVING UNITED.

Stuff the Bus

Stuff the BusOur second annual Stuff the Bus collection was a great success.  This year, we partnered with Huntington Bank to make the collection a four county effort in which back packs were distributed to children in need in Mahoning, Trumbull, Mercer and Columbiana counties.  Supplies were collected at Great Clips locations and were transported on school buses thanks to Transit Services.

Our United Way would like to thank Knoll Run Golf Course, Austintown InfoCision, and the Mahoning County Retired Teachers Association for their collection of school supplies in addition to the four county effort.  Over 450 back packs stuffed with school supplies were given to children in need in the Mahoning Valley.
